New News, Can you say that? New News?
It’s been too long…
Over a year, easily since my last blog post but I did say I was going to be gone for a while.
Not to worry though, plenty to show and talk about soon.
First bit, Crunch.
It’s currently in 5 competitions and by the years end it will be in a total of 15. She’s had a lot of changes thanks to the input of Simon Duric, but the script at least feels complete and Jon and I know that much because we feel there’s nothing else to say in an episode. We did it all.
The Treatment however is getting some work. Because of the ever evolving nature of the Games Industry we have to adapt as well, so we are looking at modifying a couple of things within the show to have a broader and more central view of the industry. People are trying to make it a better place, so we should include the attempt. Anyway it’s not drastic, but a few sections need rework and that will be done before June 10th.
Before Slamdance gets a read basically.
Second Bit, Podcast.
We are 2 episodes into our new podcast IMGAME, we are recording 4 more to bank half a years worth of episodes so we have room to record the remaining 6. I’m not saying anything more about it other than it’s premise. Jon and I are playing through the Top 100 MetaCritic Games Of All Time, for better or worse.
We’re aiming for a summer release so we will keep you posted. We are however, going to post a teaser sample on here and on a few other places so everyone can get a flavour of what is yet to arrive.
Third bit, New Writing.
As some of you will know, Supreme was our Super Hero script that got some attention (ScreenCraft Quarter Finals) and we are modifying it into a TV series. We can go broader and deeper with the world and characters we invented.
That’s what I’m currently re-writing.
While that happens Jon is ongoing with Below Average, the comedy script we have been kicking around since our University days.
Hopefully by month’s end we will have two first drafts of two new TV series.
There are other bits, a couple of short films, redrafts of the kids books (Day Dream Dog) and more work on my novel Dawn to Dust.
There are others projects waiting of course, but it’s just a matter of time.
It never ends but, progress, progress, progress.
That’s it for now, catch you on the flip side.
All the best,
C J Parker
